September 2004 Site Assessment - original info used to inform the consultative draft EFLP

EFLP 04 KIN 007 - Glebe - Proposal H49 / Pr40 for 40 houses on 1.7 Ha site

KIN007

CONCLUSION:

"This site may offer a reasonable opportunity for long-term residential expansion of Kingsbarns.
Development here would have a marked effect on the townscape, particularly as viewed from the main St Andrews road (the Fife Tourist Route) from the south. Development of this site would also have a noticeable impact on the skyline, which is a prime consideration in the perception of the East Neuk settlements.
I would suggest that the eastern portion of site 04KIN006 offers a better option at this time in the context of the existing character of Kingsbarns." - M.McG 17/09/04
